Carla Sargent to Catherine Stallman Letter, June 28, 1898

Grand Secretary Carla Sargent writes to Catherine Stallman of Beta Beta chapter, on her possible vote on the motion (to withdraw their charter). Sargent writes it was delicacy of feeling that prompted her from omitting to send a voting blank sooner. Sargent explains it takes eighteen affirmative votes to pass the motion, and twenty-six or twenty-seven chapters are voting, so Stallman/Beta Beta chapter's vote has no numerical effect. Sargent encloses her June 6 letter, and offers to copy Richmond's June 6 and June 14 letters. Additionally, Sargent asks when Voorhees was dismissed, to omit her from the Grand Roll. This letter is included in a Beta Beta chapter pamphlet, also available in the collection.
