The Meaning and Mission of Color

The Golden Key, Vol. 2, No. 3, December 1884

This short creative story details a scene in which a man stands atop a hill and looks upon the sky above and landscape bellow. "How many are there whose souls are closed?" asks the author, who provides an example of a man whose thoughts are not closed, and who is able to perceive "the meaning of color." To this man, color is a dynamic display of a complex nature, and in this way he is able to see divine influence in nature.
