Grand President Bertha Richmond replies to the published June 14 New York Sun Chester Lord letter in a neutral tone, that she cannot discuss private (fraternity) affairs. There is a note on the back, Plaintiffs' Exhibit 16, with descriptive information, 'Question beyond her recall.' Presumably this letter served as evidence in the Beta Beta chapter lawsuit against the fraternity. Lord's letter is also available.
