French Honour Medal of Foreign Affairs, 1948


Beatrice Woodman was awarded this Gold Medal of Honor of Foreign Affairs by the French government in 1948 for her work as chairman of the Dorothy Canfield Fisher Fund for French Relief during World War II. The medal is attached to a ribbon in the colors of the French flag and features and the words "Republique Francaise" around the edge. The back of the medal is engraved "Beatrice Stanton Woodman" with the date May 20, 1948.
