This gavel, made from the walnut stair rail in Monmouth College's "Old Main," was presented to Kappa Kappa Gamma by Mrs. McMichael, wife of a president of Monmouth College. The gavel was used to open conventions from 1928 until 1964, after which it was damaged in the 1965 fire at Fraternity Headquarters.
