Sarah Blanding, the first woman to serve as president of Vassar College, appeared on Edward R. Murrow's Person to Person Program, which aired on CBS, to discuss the importance of better preparation, especially in English, mathematics, and foreign languages, in highschool to improve academic performance in college. Kappa alum Ruth Molloy viewed the interview as it aired and took this photograph of her television screen. This photograph was featured in the Autumn 1955 issue of The Key.
