Eva was elected as Grand President for two terms, first in 1912, and again in 1914. Highly supportive of chapter extension, Eva's term saw the greatest increase in extension in 24 years. She wanted Kappa to compete with other fraternities at the best universities. But she also believed in culture, dignity, and character, and added a scholarship requirement for initiation. She also increased the Students' Aid Fund to $10,000, worth over $200,000 today. A talented pianist, she believed strongly in the Fraternity songbook, and wanted Kappa to be known for its musical presence.
