Previously Business Manager of The Key and Grand Secretary, Bertha was well poised to become Grand President two years later. Trained as a librarian, she had a keen eye for detail, and by the end of her two terms, the Song Book and The Key were financially stable, and the Catalogue was published in full. Bertha was very conservative when it came to extension, and was a vital part of the decision to keep chapters confined to large colleges and universities. She held two terms as Grand President.
