Marian left a lasting legacy as Fraternity President, and continued to serve as Chairman of the National Panhellenic Conference once her term ended. During her presidency, she created the first Long-range Planning and Development Committees, as well as the cruise program (now Kappa Travels). Scholarships and philanthropic funds were increased during her term, and The History of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Vol. III (1976-1985) was published. The chapter finance program was translated from paper to computer, a great resource to chapter Treasurers.
