As implied by the title, the March 1886 exchanges section is curt and to-the-point. The Delta Epsilon Quarterly's re-print of "On the Mysterious Disappearance of Wooglin and Co." a poem printed in the "Editorial Stanzas" section of the Key Vol. 3 No. 2. from December 1885, prompts the Key Editorial Board to add an extra stanza to the poem. The Stanza insults Beta Theta Pi's former editor by suggesting that his race is unknown. The Delta Epsilon Quarterly and Alpha Delta Phi Star and Crescent are both critiqued for being more interested in complimenting the ladies' fraternity publications than critiquing them. The editors also note that there seems to be some subtle competition for best poet amongst the fraternity publication. A Delta Tau Delta article on the necessity of contributing to the fraternity rather than the "gilt-edged trappings" of elaborate chapter-houses, big names, or a long list of chapters is quoted in-length, as is a Kappa Alpha Journal article on the ability of a journal to strengthen fraternal bonds.
