Sigma has acquired five new members, for a total of 10 members in all, only six of which are currently at the University. Animosity still exists towards Kappa as the only ladies' fraternity at the University, but literary studies continue and have lately included reading the work of Shakespeare. On June 4, 1884 Sigma plans to host a reception for the men's fraternities on campus.
