In this Open Letter, Chi explains and defends her refusal to consent to the election of an honorary member in Gamma Province. The refusal was motivated by the belief that honorary membership is wrong because the fraternal tie presupposes congeniality and kinship which honorary members cannot fulfil. They posit that it would be better to wait for one of Kappa's own to achieve greatness than to grant a great women membership to Kappa.
