Fraternity News reports that Phi Delta Theta Fraternity has new chapters at the University of Texas and Ohio State College, bringing their chapter numbers to 44, Zeta Psi Fraternity reports a membership fo 2,724, and Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity has an active membership in 32 colleges. In addition, Vanderbilt University has repealed anti-fraternity laws, and Zeta Psi will hold its convention in New York, January 3-4, 1884. Delta Tau Delta has new chapters at the University of Minnesota and the University of Colorado, and Professor Myra Godwin at Asbury University is now a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity has 28 chapters, Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity has 29, and Delta Tau Delta has 33. Multiple people of political, academic, and social importance are members of various fraternities. Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity held a 19th General Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 28-30, 1884, Delta Kappa Epsilon held its 37th Annual convention at Ann Arbor, Michigan October 16-17, 1884, and Delta Tau Delta held its 25th Annual Convention at Indianapolis Indiana on August 22-24, 1884.
