This is entitled, "Translation from Horace, Book I Ode III" but this may be a misprint as the ode itself is a translation of Delius' "Ode to Delius" which is the third poem found in Horace's Second Book of Odes. This may be presumed an original translation. It urges Roman soldier and political opportunist Quintus Dellius to enjoy his "youthful hope" of victory and life, for death is inevitable.
