Editorial: Fraternity Studies

The Golden Key, Vol. 2, No. 4, March 1885

This editorial lays out a general plan for chapter literary study. First, they maintain that a "regular course of slid literature" is not necessary, as it is readily available within university classes, clubs, and libraries. Presentation-dependent modes of study are discouraged, as they leave multiple members with nothing to do for long stretches of time. They suggest a monthly schedule of a social meeting with songs, a fraternity quiz meeting, a current events or questions meeting on politics, art, or government, and a fourth meeting for art studies where an individual artist may be discussed.
