This report details the biography of Kate Shelly, a member of the Omicron chapter, who was honored as a hero by the state of Iowa for preventing the deaths of train passengers. By venturing out in a terrible storm, Shelly was able to deliver the message that the tracks ahead had been swept away. For her heroism, Shelly received many honors both public and private.
