Phyllis Galanti hugs her husband Paul on the cover of the February 26, 1973 issue of Newsweek Magazine. Paul was a Prisoner of War in Vietnam from 1966-1973 and Phyllis devoted almost total effort to the release of POWs and accounting for MIAs, during the time he was a prisoner. Galanti served as Chairman of the Board of the National League of Families of American Prisoners and Missing in Southeast Asia and won the Alumnae Achievement Award in 1974.
