Tade Hartsuff Kuhns Ivory Satin and Lace Dress, 1916


This ivory satin, lace, and net gown was worn by Tade Hartsuff Kuhns for her portrait painted in 1916 by Elizabeth Gowdy Baker. The gown features a diamond pointed tiered skirt of net and lace with satin edging, satin cummerbund type bodice, short sleeves, and a bertha collar with net and lace with satin edging. The points are weighted with tiny ball tassels.
