This is a photocopy of a handwritten transcription of a report of the attempt at a hearing from Beta Beta chapter before the Grand Council on August 25, 1898, at the National Convention in Lincoln, Nebraska. "BB" refers to the Beta Beta exchanges, "GS" refers to Grand Secretary Carla Sargent, "GC" to Grand Council, and "GP" to Grand President Bertha Richmond. The exchanges are Beta Beta lodging a protest against the charter withdrawal charges by the fraternity, and whether the meeting suffices in a judicial sense, as a defense court. Catherine Stallman of Beta Beta chapter is referenced in a note as saying this account is fairly correct. Grand Secretary Carla Sargent is referenced in two notes as saying the account is fairly correct, as well as later saying she did not consider it correct. A typed version is also available.
