Boston attorney Edmund Whitman updates District Attorney Ledyard Hale on the Beta Beta chapter charter case in Massachusetts. Whitman recounts Grand President Bertha Richmond testified at that day's hearing. Judge Barker has issued an injunction against Richmond and the fraternity from completing the withdrawal votes. The injunction will be served on Richmond June 30. (Note that during these June 29, 1898 proceedings, the annexation of the fraternity constitution to the legal bill was later objected to.)
