Grand President Bertha Richmond replies to Catherine Stallman of Beta Beta chapter, that no Grand Council vote has yet happened regarding their chapter, but the unanimous feeling is that it would be better for the fraternity if Beta Beta chapter was not maintained. Richmond explains the small number of women at St. Lawrence University and the college standing are factors. Richmond conveys that Grand Secretary Carla Sargent is the official Grand Council mouthpiece, and she should be in touch with her on this matter. This is a typed copy of an original letter from Richmond to Stallman which is also available. The typist added emphasis on one line by using all capital letters.
