Grand Secretary Carla Sargent replies to Alice Atwood, on the votes to withdraw Beta Beta chapter's charter from the fraternity. Sargent advises her to write to the chapters directly instead. There is a note on the back, Plaintiffs' Exhibit 18, with descriptive information,'refuses to give chapter votes.' Presumably this letter served as evidence in the Beta Beta chapter lawsuit against the fraternity. This letter is included in a Beta Beta chapter pamphlet, also available in the collection.
