Eliza Heaton replies at length to her sister-in-law and fellow Beta Beta chapter alumnae Lucia Heaton with updates on the intrigue. Eliza conveys the (New York) Alumnae had a meeting and have asked Miss Wight to write to Grand President Bertha Richmond asking for the charges against the Beta Beta chapter. Eliza details the puzzling fraternity correspondence they are aware of. There is a great deal of intrigue between Wight, Richmond, and Grand Secretary Sargent via correspondence, at issue when charges were issued, how and if they were shared with the chapters.
