Attorney Edmund Whitman notifies Grand President Bertha Richmond that Beta Beta chapter has served papers on The Key Editor Mary Hull in New York state. Since Richmond is in Massachusetts, they think the proceedings should begin there instead. Whitman advises Richmond to delay any further actions until after the 1898 National Convention, as her term would also expire, and sentiments may cool. Whitman can 'pigeonhole' the legal papers until that time. This is a typed copy of the letter.
