Grand Secretary Carla Sargent writes to the chapters asking them to correlate this letter with Beta Beta chapter correspondence, prior to the 1898 National Convention. Sargent makes note of the St. Lawrence men involved in this cause. Sargent copies the content of her May 28, 1898 letter to the Beta Beta chapter; a note on the letter identifies this as the original notice of the charter withdrawal.
