Marion Lynn Clark reports on the results of a study done by experts in the U.S. Department of the Interior regarding the best places to live in the United States in terms of ecology. Their top seven choices include Big Sur, California; the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho; Flagstaff, Arizona; Willamette Valley, Oregon; Culpeper-Warrenton, Virginia; San Juan Islands, Washington; and the Ozarks region in Missouri and Arkansas. Kappa Kappa Gamma held its 1978 National Convention in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri.
