Casbeck the Owl Figurine, 1945-June 1988

This figurine depicts an owl dressed in a cap and gown with key badge in its beak. Casbeck used to be an ornament at Fraternity Headquarters in the Ohio State Savings Building and was given to Mary "Gray" Roberts when she became field secretary in 1945, accompanying her to conventions as a good luck charm. The owl was mounted in a wooden case and donated to the Heritage Museum in honor of Roberts in June 1988.
