Caitlin Miller Hammaren was a victim of the April 16, 2007 Virginia Tech Shooting. In memory of the victims, thirty-two upright blocks of Hokie Stone were engraved with the names of the victims and placed in a semicircle at the base of the Drillfield reviewing stand.
