Betty Bates Photograph, November 15, 1966


Margaret Bates, a renowned and successful commercial artist, poses with several of her paintings. Known for her work with greeting card design and animation art following her first job, which involved drawing aircraft parts for pilots' catalogues during World War II, Bates later went on to pursue a career in impressionist painting. This photograph was featured in the Mid-Winter 1967 issue of The Key.
