Hope, which served as a mobile medical unit staffed with doctors and both American and Indonesian nurses providing medical care to patients and training to nurses and doctors that was chartered by President Richard Nixon to undertake a humanitarian medical mission to Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.
