Doris Jean Larimore is honored as the founder of the Wing T's, a group originally formed for high school girls interested in aviation, which evolved into a community service organization. Current and former Wing T's gathered to celebrate the former Coast Guard officer. The troop worked hard at a myriad of fundraising activities to finance their work with the elderly, under-privileged , and mentally and physically handicapped. This photograph was featured on page 51 of the Summer 1980 issue of The Key.
