Rural School Children Wash Hands Photograph, c. 1949


Rural children use a primitive method for washing their hands before lunch. They are students at Johnson's Fork School in Breathitt County, Kentucky, which is sponsored by the Louisville Alumnae Association. This photograph was featured on page 65 of the February 1950 issue of The Key.
