Five year old Monique Tempier's grandmother, right, suffered from cancer. Her mother suffered from a nervous disease, and was widowed during the war. Kappa intended to send Monique to summer camp, but instead had to send her to a preventorium for TB. This photograph was featured on page 319 of The Key, December 1950.
