Marion and Byron White Before White House Inauguration Photograph, 1961


Marion White and husband Byron pose together in formal wear before his inauguration at the White House. Byron was asked by President J.F.K to serve as deputy attorney general. This photograph was featured on page 45 of the Spring 1961 issue of The Key. In 1962 President Kennedy nominated White to the Supreme Court where he served until retiring in 1993.
