Ruthanna Sharpless Ely and her husband Frederic Ely inspect ceramic crane eggs she designed. The eggs were designed for the Smithsonian Institution and used to induce cranes to produce more offspring. This photograph was featured on page 14 of the Spring 1981 issue of The Key.
