Shelby Dietrich Rector, M.D., received the 1984 Alumnae Achievement Award for her successful career as a pediatrician. She has gained international renown in the care of patients with hemophilia, arthritis, osteogenesis, imperfecta, AIDS, and other chronic disabling conditions. She is currently the task force coordinator for AIDS for the World Federation of Hemophilia. This photograph was featured on page 1 of the Winter 1983 issue of They Key.
