A group of Kappas pose together aboard the S.S. Universe, a cargo ship converted to a floating university, a the Semester at Sea sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh. The program takes approximately 500 students around the world each fall and spring semester. Students attend classes daily while the ship is at sea and choose from a wide variety of travel opportunities when in port. Each woman is individually identified on the back of the photograph. This photograph was featured on page 48 of the Summer 1991 issue of The Key.
