Major Margaret Brewster was one of 30 officers selected by the Department of the Army to attend the first class of the Advanced Course for Women's Army Corps Officers. Before enlisting in the WAC, Major Brewster received a Master's degree from the University of Michigan and later was an instructor at Michigan State Normal College and the University of Indiana. This photograph was featured on pg. 132 of the October 1954 issue of the Key.
