French Children Wait for Clothing Photograph, 1946-1952

Children wait while the staff sorts clothing provided by Kappa Kappa Gamma. Michel Tessier is in the foreground, and Jacqueline Suardi is in the background trying on a pair of pink ear muffs she found on one of the shelves. From 1946-1952, the Dorothy Canfield Fisher French Relief Project of Kappa Kappa Gamma provided aid to French children affected by World War II. They sponsored summer camps, sent financial aid to schools, and provided food and clothing for the children.
