Seven-year old Joelle of Bas-Meudon, France, tries on shoes provided by Kappa Kappa Gamma. Joelle, who with several brothers and sisters lived in a two-room attic in World War II, was one of dozens of children able to spend two months at the seashore courtesy of Kappa's French Relief Project. This photograph was featured on pg. 139 of "History 2000."
