Grand Treasurer Gertrude Wood poses for a picture during an inspection trip to the College of William and Mary where a local sorority, Upsilon Delta Beta, has petitioned to become a Kappa chapter. The group's petition was accepted and, in 1923, was installed as Gamma Kappa chapter.
