Typical of the unusual architecture that makes the University of New Mexico campus one of the most beautiful in the country is the library, with its long portalm flagstone terraces, and gently curved tower walls. Though most of the campus is in lawn, studded with evergreens, the library terraces are planted with cactus, yucca, and other desert plants. The steps are a traditional meeting place for undergraduates. This photograph was featured on pg. 163 of the December 1954 issue of The Key.
