Beta Alpha Chapter House Pink Elephant Photograph

A pink elephant in a top hat surrounded by bubbles takes up a large portion of the wall at the foot of the back staircase in the Beta Alpha Chapter House. The elephant was there when the chapter moved in and, the story goes, was painted by a former occupant of the house who was a well-known architect. It is unclear whether this photograph is from the original Walnut Street Chapter house or the later 39th Street Chapter house.
