At the 1952 National Convention, for the first time, a special award in scholarship was made to chapters who have six or less Panhellenic groups on their campus. Winner of the first position award was Kappa chapter, who for seven of the past eight years had been first on their campus. Runner-up was Gamma Tau with Epsilon and Delta Zeta gaining honorable mention.
