Five Historical Pageant Participants Photograph, July 13, 1952

Unidentified historical pageant participants wear gowns reminiscent of the period when her chapter was founded. Of particular significance are the dresses on the first and second Kappas. The first woman, a representative from Beta Sigma chapter, wears a dress of tan marquisette with green stripes and was presented to the fraternity by Betha Tolman. The second woman, a representative from Phi chapter, wears the skirt from a blue corded afternoon dress presented to the fraternity by Executive Secretary Clara O. Pierce. The blouse that goes with the skirt was too small for her, so she is wearing a different white one instead.
