The Fathers Marquette Monument on Mackinac Island Photograph


The bronze statue of Father Marquette that stands below historic Fort Mackinac on Mackinac Island, where the 1946 National Convention took place. The statue is a copy of the sculpture by Trentanove, presented to the United States as a tribute from the state of Wisconsin. The original is in the Statuary hall at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. This photograph was featured on pg. 75 of the April 1946 issue of The Key.
