Charlotte Ware and Unidentified Kappa at Historical Pageant Photograph, July 6, 1940


Former Grand President, Charlotte Ware (left), and an unidentified woman pose together on the night of the sweetheart dinner and the historical pageant. Ware's dress was a black silk "calling gown" which had belonger to her Aunt Ruth, Mrs. Justin S. Morrill. Mrs. Morrill was the wife of Senator Morrill, of Vermont, who authored the Morrill Act of Congress to establish land grant colleges in the U.S.
