Phyllis Galanti Portrait Photograph, June 20, 1974

Phyllis Galanti smiles as she poses in her home with a photograph of her husband, Lt. Cmdr. Paul Galanti, who served in Vietnam and spent six and a half years as a prisoner of war. Phyllis Galanti spent much of his imprisonment campaigning for his release and that of other POWS through writing letters and community organizing, efforts for which she received an Alumnae Achievement Award from Kappa Kappa Gamma in 1974.
