This portrait of Virginia C. Gildersleeve was painted in 1955 by Harold Brett. This photograph was featured on page 290 of the Winter 1957 issue of The Key to announce the creation of the Virginia Gildersleeve Fellowships for Foreign Students and Foreign Study. It also appeared on page 63 of the Autumn 1965 issue with Gildersleeve's obituary.
