Virginia C. Gildersleeve was dean of Barnard College and the only female delegate from the U.S. to the 1945 conference to draft charter for the U.N. She received the Alumnae Achievement Award in 1946. This photograph was featured on page 36 of the Summer 1995 issue and on page 11 of the Summer 1998 issue of The Key.
